Youngsters at one Redbridge Primary School were brimming with pride this week as they celebrated their achievements with a full graduation ceremony.

Pupils at Highlands Primary School, in Highlands Gardens, Ilford, marked the special occassion with a range of special performances including, performance poetry, contempory dance, singing, a stomp show and much more.

And proud parents watched on happily as the entire Year 6 cohort threw their mortars to the sky at the end of the day to mark the educational milestone.

Sandy Kaur, the school’s senior learning leader, said: “The shining light throughout the whole day was the positive and optimistic collective voice of the children who want to make a positive difference in the world.

“Families thoroughly enjoyed the day and with a great sense of pride at the children’s outstanding account both academically and socially.

“We wish them well in the next step in their education.”
