Ladies got their dancing shoes on to cha cha for charity at a Strictly Come Dancing inspired exercise class on Thursday.
More than 60 people joined the launch event at Woodford County High School, High Road, Woodford Green, to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Almost £500 was collected through tickets, raffles and a “bling station” where dancers could get glittery accessories.
It was the lanch party for a new fitness class that uses ballroom dancing moves devised by Strictly professionals Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe.
Instructor Karen Smith said the group started with steps from the jive, waltz and cha cha cha.
She added: “Everyone loved it, they got really into it.
“One woman brought her 15-year-old daughter along and there was an elderly lady who must have been in her 70s, and everyone in between.”
The clases are held in Gants Hill, Hainault, Clayhall and Woodford Green.
