A man accused of murder has pleaded not guilty at a hearing today.

Marcel Criahan, 34, of Hickling Road, Ilford, appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court, accused of murdering Florin Onea, 49, also of Hickling Road, Ilford.

Florin was found with a stab wound at an address in the street when officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Saturday, October 17. He died nine days later.

Officers arrested Mr Criahan on October 17 in connection with the incident.

He is due to stand trial at the court on Monday, May 9.
