Hundreds of people turned out in force yesterday to celebrate the annual Hare Krishna chariot carnival festival.
The festival is known at Rath Yatra and is an ancient custom originating in India.
Crowds met at Redbridge Town Hall, High Road, Ilford to pull the chariot through the streets proceeded by people dancing and chanting.
The procession ended up in Valentines Park, Cranbrook Road, Ilford where there were tents, food and more celebrations.
