Half Term Alfresco Shopping Week had a variety of items for sale including children’s wear, bags, crafts, toys and household items,

Visitors could also sample Punjabi street food and Nigerian cuisine at the event run by Amber Markets and the Ilford Business Improvement District (BID).

BID manager Ben Collins said: “The market was very well received by visitors and retailers alike. We had a different artist on each day to mingle with the public as they shopped.

“We have a week like this organised in July, so we hope this continues to increase footfall in the town centre.”
