A wedding venue in Hainault has been named Britain’s best banqueting suite.
The Willows, Forest Road, scooped two wins at the British Asian Wedding Awards 2018, including the best suite in the south-east of England and the best banqueting suite in Britain for Asian weddings.
The venue hosts approximately 200 events per year, and Julio Marques, operations manager said he is very proud of the awards.
“These two awards are a fantastic recognition of what has been achieved by the team’s hard work and the company’s investment since 2014 to make The Willows the spectacular venue it is now,” he said.
“While the majority of our celebrating families are from the London borough of Redbridge and surrounding areas, such is our reputation that clients come to us from as far as Birmingham, Leicester and Manchester - we’ve even had one family from Israel.
“All the events over the last three years have truly been the spectacular, one-off memorable events they should be.”
The venue was named after three willow trees which stand in the extensive grounds.
It is also known for its opulent ballroom which accommodates up to 1,000 people, crystal chandeliers, 250 car parking spaces and a “magnificent water fountain”.
Nadim Anwar, from Leyton, was involved in the planning of his daughter’s wedding which took place on Friday, (March 16).
He said: “We looked at a couple of wedding venues before someone recommended The Willows.
“All in all, we found it an outstanding venue due to its spaciousness, car parking space for all our guests, the terrific lighting, and indeed the professionalism of everyone who was working there.
“I’d definitely recommend the venue to other families.”
The awards were organised by Oceanic Consulting.
CEO, Irfan Younis, said: “The Asian wedding industry continues to expand year upon year.
“We’d like to congratulate all the winners of Britain’s Asian Wedding Awards 2018 who have really stepped up the game this year and we hope will continue to do so.”
The awards were decided by couples who had wed around Britain.
Husbands and wives rated their special day using an online system.
