Organisers of Hainault’s High Definition Festival have lost their licence to stage the music event after a Redbridge Council licensing sub-committee revoked it on Monday.

This year the electronic music festival, staged on the land of Forest Farm, Forest Road, Hainault, was marred by ticketing issues, which saw 900 people gaining entry with forged tickets, drugs and violence.

A review hearing into the festival’s licence took place last Thursday at Redbridge Town Hall in the High Road.

Redbridge Police had supported residents’ move to get the licence revoked ahead of last week’s meeting.
