Greater Anglia trains between London Liverpool Street and Shenfield are being delayed by up to 20 minutes due to disruptive passengers at Goodmayes this evening.
Some trains face cancellation due to the disruption.
The high temperatures have also taken its toll on punctuality, as they have caused the metal tracks and overhead line equipment to expand.
This is forcing trains to travel at slower speeds than they would normally.
