Viewers of the Great British Bake Off will spot familiar scenes in Monday’s episode of the BBC cookery competition.

Four specials were filmed at Valentines Mansion, in Emerson Road, Ilford, in September to benefit Comic Relief.

Four celebrity bakers of varying experience will compete in mini challenges devised by experts Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.

Comedians Jo Brand, Stephen K Amos, Lorna Watson and Ingrid Oliver will attempt tricky shortbread, custard slices and chocolate cakes to be crowned Star Baker.

The first episode will be on BBC Two at 8.30pm.
