The team at North East London NHS Treatment Centre may have looked a little odd on Friday (November 16) but it was all for a very good cause.
Staff based at Barley Lane, Goodmayes, wore odd socks, shoes, theatre clogs, funny ties and hats to raise money for Children in Need - the charity that since 1980 has raised more than £950 million for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
There was also a fundraising duck race sweepstake watched remotely by the team on the official Children in Need Facebook page.
Not one person won so every penny went to the charity.
Hospital director, John O’Brien said: “Even at this busy time of the year, the team always find ways to raise funds for charities doing such worthwhile and invaluable work.
“It shows the same dedication they give to the centre and to their patients.”
