Trembling hands and sweaty palms are to be expected this morning as teenagers in Redbridge collect their GCSE results.

We have photographers and reporters at schools across the borough capturing the morning, but be sure to send in your pictures, results and any stories you think might be interesting.

After last year’s GCSE successes, two Redbridge schools made it into the top 200 most improved in the country.

The table measures secondary schools based on the percentage of pupils who achieve A*-C grades, include in English and maths.

Both Mayfield School, Pedley Road, Goodmayes and Hainault Forest High – now known as The Forest Academy – Harbourer Road, Hainault saw results improve sharply.

Last year’s results saw Ilford County High claim top spot as the only one to see 100 per cent of its students getting five A*-Cs, including in English and maths.

The school in Fremantle Road, Barkingside, was followed by Bancroft’s School, High Road, Woodford Green, with 99 per cent.
