There were tears, screams, hugs and energetic jumping for joy at schools across Redbridge today, as weeks of waiting finally ended for GCSE students.
Hundreds of pupils waited patiently outside school buildings to get their results in their hand, even though many could get them online at the break of dawn.
Emotions ran high but the general picture is that Redbridge students held their own in a year where nationally results have dipped.
