Gants Hill library is closed this afternoon because of a “lack of heating”.
The library, in Cransbrook Road, was due to be open until 8pm this evening.
A statement on the Redbridge Council website said the library was closed at 1pm but will be “back to normal” tomorrow.
Temperatures are currently hovering above freezing in Ilford after overnight snowfall.
The Recorder has asked the council for details of the problem.
