Gants Hill’s Caraway has been named the best Indian restaurant in Essex by online guide restaurantguides.co.uk.
The website, which started in 1999 and which recommends places to eat in London and further afield, held awards for the first time this year and rewarded the Cranbrook Road restaurant.
Head chef Ramesh Jain said: “It’s a great achievement for the restaurant and wonderful to get recognition.”
Finalists were chosen through a public vote and then feedback from customers and judges was used to pick winners from a final three in each category.
