A dynamic author visited an Ilford School on Tuesday to inspire young pupils to pick up books and put down their gadgets.

Marcus Alexander, the creator of the Keeper of the Realms trilogy, visited Ilford County High School in Fremantle Road, Barkingside, last week.

The popular author spoke to pupils, signed books and posed for pictures with the excited youngsters.

Marcus’ books are drawn from his background in gymnastics, pro-fighting, snowboarding and sandboarding.

The trilogy includes The Crows Revenge, The Dark Army and Blood and Fire, and follows the life of Charlie Keeper and her venture into the magical world of Bellania.
