Firefighters at Woodford fire station hosted the event on Saturday, which aimed to both educate and entertain families.

Activities included a demonstration of a casualty extraction at the site of an accident and an aerial appliance water tower demonstration.

Firefighters gave advice on how to prevent fires starting in the home and information on free smoke alarm fittings.

Officers from Redbridge police also joined in the fun at the station in Snakes Lane West, Woodford Green, bringing along furry friends from the dog unit.
