Archant

The funeral of Redbridge’s Pearly Queen Peggy Oliver took place yesterday (Thursday).

An army of fellow Pearlies from across London, donning their recognisable black garb in honour, turned out for the ceremony at Forest Park Cemetery and Crematorium, Forest Road, Hainault.

The 84-year-old was tragically killed in a car crash, alongside her sister-in-law 77-year-old Joyce Carr MBE, the Pearly Queen of Southwark last month.
