During half-term, there will be Chinese New Year craft workshops at the Exchange, Ilford.

Between Monday, February 12 and Friday, February 16, children can unleash their creative skills by making dragon spirals, puppets, lanterns, fans, masks and decorate ceramic dragon money boxes.

The free, interactive, sessions will take place on level 1 of the centre from 12 noon to 5pm.

An Exchange spokeswoman said: “Chinese New Year, which falls on Friday, February 16, is all about families coming together and wishing each other peace and prosperity and families are encouraged to visit the Exchange to enjoy craft making classes.

“The week-long creative workshops are designed for children to unleash their creative skills and to celebrate Chinese New Year.
