Four Redbridge parks have been singled out for praise for reducing crime and antisocial behaviour.
Leisure cabinet member Cllr Sue Nolan joined colleagues on a visit to City Hall last week to pick up plaques from Mayor of London, Boris Johnson.
The Safer Parks Awards have seen 31 open spaces across the capital praised.
A silver award was given to Valentines Park, Cranbrook Road, Ilford.
Bronze went to South Park, South Park Road, Ilford; Ilford War Memorial Gardens, Eastern Avenue, Newbury Park, and Elmhurst Gardens, Fosters Close, South Woodford.
