Fire brigades were called when a chip pan caused a kitchen fire in Ilford
Two people were treated by ambulance crews for smoke inhalation after a chip pan, left unattended, caused a kitchen fire at Oakfield Lodge, in Albert road, Ilford.
Four engines attended the call at approximately 11.44am. A fire brigade spokesperson confirmed that no one was seriously injured and there was no extensive damage to the building.
