Striker Jay Simpson has signed a three-year deal with League One side Leyton Orient.

The 25-year-old was spotted at Brisbane Road on Tuesday during their 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers, and it was believed his medical was completed at the club earlier that day.

Simpson, formerly of Hull City and Arsenal, makes the switch to Brisbane Road following a short period in Thailand with Buriram United.

He has promotion experience with the Tigers, having helped them to the Premier League in 2013, netting seven goals along the way, and played for Hull against the O’s in the two FA Cup third round ties that season.

On signing for the O’s, Simpson told the club website: “I’m delighted. It’s a club that is going places and I want to be a part of it.”
