Forest Academy pupils and teachers alike took to the stage and raised about £600 for Haven House Hospice.

The annual talent show – in its fourth year – saw music and dance acts show off their skills after making it through the vigorous auditions process.

From street dance to Indian-inspired dancing there was something for everyone – including the scintillating sounds of ukelele player Aaron Demetriades and a band made up of teaching staff which raised the roof at the fundraiser.

Organiser and art teacher Magdalena Charalambous said: “We’ve managed to raise the most we’ve raised in the four years we’ve been doing it.”

The school in Harbourer Road, Hainault, has raised a total of £1,850 in the last four years for the Woodford Green charity.

Magdalena added: “The whole idea is that it’s a way for us to get together and celebrate each others talents and raise money for a worthy cause.”
