Redbridge Police are conducting raids and searches this morning as part of a London-wide operation to take criminals off the street.
Reporter Hayley Anderson is following officers on Operation Big Wing through the day and will be live tweeting everything that happens from our @ilfordrecorder account.
Borough officers are working with specialist units including the Safer Transport Command, dog teams and detectives to disrupt criminals.
Activity includes executing warrants, arrests for burglary, robbery, handling stolen goods and those involved in theft.
Uninsured vehicle and ANPR checks will take place to keep criminals off the roads and there will also be street briefings, knife arches and crime prevention stands for members of the public.
