Redbridge Council has made £15,000 available to fund bulb planting across the borough after requests from residents.

Many have already been planted across Redbridge’s parks, including at Woodford Bridge Green, Woodford Green, in Manor Road, and Loxford Park, off Loxford Lane, Ilford.

There are 1,500 bulbs left to plant in the next four weeks, and residents are invited to suggest where.

Any suggestion must include a detailed proposal for the chosen location, and a team of volunteers available to help plant them before the council assesses the feasibility of any proposal.

Cllr Kam Rai described this initiative as “a great project which we know will brighten out parks and open spaces.

“I hope residents will take up the offer to get involved”.

The deadline for any application is Tuesday 31 October, and you can get in touch with the council to submit your proposal at planning.obligations@redbridge.gov.uk, or by calling 020 8708 2996.
