Firefighters tackle apartment block blaze in Gants Hill

Firefighters tackled a blaze at a block of flats yesterday morning.

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters from Ilford, Hainault and Woodford fire stations attended the flats in Bramley Crescent, Gants Hill, after part of a three-roomed apartment on the fifth floor of the six floor block caught fire.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) reported no injuries as a result of the blaze after firefighters were called at 10.11am. The fire was under control by at 10.51am.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
