Opinion: Start your advent with the lower snacks

Isn't it amazing what people will complain about?
We are in the advent period now, a time of the year when people look forward to eating some chocolate everyday.
If we look at recent figures on obesity in the UK it feels like most non-advent days have chocolate in them too but at this time of year it's nice to have an excuse.
Some people who bought the Celebrations advent calendars were upset with what they got. For those who don't know, Celebrations are smaller versions of well-known chocolate bars.

I don't get the obsession with smaller chocolate. Fun-size bars seemed less fun than normal size and these Celebrations are even smaller than that. I don't know what you're meant to be celebrating but if the chocolate keeps getting any smaller it'll feel like rationing is back.
The problem people had with the Celebrations advent is the first few days had a miniature Bounty behind the doors. One person tweeted that this was the "worst start to December ever," which makes me think that person didn't hear the news that there's an election on.
These people didn't think it through. You should want to start your advent with the lower snacks. Hope to open with a Bounty, maybe move onto a Snickers or a Twix. When things are feeling even more festive you'd be wanting a Mars and Milky Way and only that way do you get to enjoy Christmas with a Galaxy or Maltesers Teaser.
If you did it the other way round it would seem like a Dickensian tale.
Alternatively, do as I do, have no will power and eat the whole calendar by December 3. Then I have to buy a new advent calendar to replace it. That way you don't worry about the chocolate order at all.
