Archant

Although I have been married for almost half a century, my wife and I are still having many unresolved issues.

God says in 49:13 that He has created us all from a single pair of a male and female and made us into nations and tribes to get to know each other.

So the purpose of creative is to create fammiliarity, not to ignore, despise or exploit each other. If we all get to know each other we would have peace in our planet.

Do I really know my wife? Does she really know me?

I do not think so. If every husband and wife would make an effort to understand each other, many family issues would have been avoided.

Why do we argue with each other? Is it our ego which is running the show?

Why do we not say sorry when we do something wrong? Why do we not appreciate each other and say thank you?

Why do we look at faults in each other instead of looking for positive aspects and blow them up to cover our shortfalls?

I find Adam and Eve to be the best role model for a husband and wife. When they fell into temptation and ate from the forbidden tree, their honeymoon was over. They were kicked out of the Garden. But they both said sorry to God. They admitted their failure and God forgave them.

They lost everything. But they never lost the love they had for each other and their faith in God’s forgiveness and mercy. They never blamed each other or insulted each other.

They stayed together. If they had left each other on that day, none of us would have been here today.
