If you went into the woods this weekend you were in for a seasonal surprise.

Families dusted off their favourite pumpkin-inspired costumes and headed to Epping Forest to raise money for a charity which helps children in Redbridge.

Haven House Children’s Hospice, based at The White House, High Road, Woodford Green, held its annual Pumpkin Plod, with participants completing either a 2k or 5k course.

The forest was alive with walking pumpkins and prizes were given for the best Halloween costumes.
