The new venture is a result of a three-year funding deal between Vision, the Redbridge Council’s leisure provider which runs the park, and Sport England.

It aims to offer something to people who don’t enjoy exercising in the gym, with activities for people of all fitness levels and ability.

Emily said: “We had a gentleman say ‘thank you so much for organising the event, I wouldn’t have known that this happened in the park if I hadn’t come down’.”

The new weekly pay as you go classes in the park will start in April.

There will be learn to sail and kayak courses happening at the outdoor centre for all ages and abilities, and a learn to boulder course in the summer.
