Families got together and enjoyed a fun-filled day to help raise money for two children’s charities.
Fairlop Waters, in Forest Road, Fairlop, hosted a charity event where stalls selling things such as homemade cakes and, jewellery were set up, children were racing each other to get to the inflatable bouncy castles and everyone got the chance to play a game of bubble football.
A performance from dance group Diddi Dots, ages two-six, also helped to brighten up the day with their own dance routine.
Organiser of the event, Susie Halliday, 27, of Chigwell, said: “I had a go at bubble football with the other volunteers before anyone arrived and it was so much fun! It was like a bigger version of bumper cars as everyone kept running into each other!”
The event raised a total of £1,000 for Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund, based in Romford, as well as the Ryan Lee Trust.
Susie said: “It was a really successful day that I hope everyone liked and was made better by the nice weather that we had.”
