A man has been arrested after allegedly threatening people with a knife outside Faces Nightclub.

Police and paramedics were called to reports of a man injured, in Cranbrook Road, at 1.48am yesterday (August 19).

There they found a man, aged 20, suffering from a head injury outside Faces Nightclub and arrested him on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was taken to an east London hospital where he remains and his injuries have been deemed not to be life-threatening.

Another man, aged 34, was also arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

He was subsequently released under investigation.

A knife was recovered by officers from the scene.

There are no reports of any other persons injured.

Officers from the East Area Command Unit CID are investigating.

Investigations continue.
