One Friday morning, the warm sun came up... and children from around Redbridge gathered to create their very own very hungry caterpillars.
Created out of bands of paper, the hungry caterpillars took life, although these ones at least did not manage to eat ice cream, cherry pie or even a strawberry.
The arts and crafts workshop was held at Redbridge Central library, Clements Road, Ilford for five to 12 year olds on Friday morning.
The workshop was based on the internationally best selling The Very Hungry Caterpillar book by Eric Carle which was written in 1969. The book sold three million copies worldwide.
