A wild west-themed summer fayre gave visitors the chance to ride a bucking bronco, take part in a “shoot out” and lasoo a cow, while helping to raise money for an Ilford school.
The fun-filled event at Cranbrook Primary School, The Drive, attracted a large crowd on June 20, with themed stalls including tin can alley, quick draw, gold rush and teacher knock out which gave children the chance to soak their teachers.
For those feeling a little less brave, there was also henna and face painting and a selection of food including homemade cakes and a barbecue, as well as popcorn and samosa stands.
Executive headteacher Jas Leverton said: “This was a wonderful community event which raised over £3,000 for the school playground and for developing creativity.
“A massive thank you to Cranbrook Friends Association, parent class reps, staff and community partners including Barclays bank, Reverend Marie Segal from St Andrew’s Church and Cranbrook Children’s Centre.”
