Lessons were put on hold at a Woodford Green school on Tuesday while students took time out to learn some new dance moves.
Students at Woodford County High School, in High Road, took part in an international dance fiesta where professional dancers were on hand to teach them samba, flamenco, line dancing and African dance styles.
They also worked in house teams to explore and celebrate the culture of a designated part of the world.
During workshops held on the day, students created jewellery, costumes and musical instruments for the culture they were studying.
For the grand finale, students put on a performance on the school’s front lawn.
