A Snaresbrook school was visited by the head of the most influential architects society in the country to try and build the model of a sustainable classroom.
Angela Brady, president of the Royal Institute of British Architects, headed to Forest School in College Place last week to discuss sustainable design with 60 pupils from the school and neighbouring institutions.
Pupils designed and built models of a sustainable arts and crafts studio and prizes were awarded by Ms Brady to the youngsters with the best designs.
They were also given a tour of the construction site where a new school building is being erected and met the architects responsible for it.
The visit was part of Forest’s annual academic challenge day, when local pupils are invited to the school to take part in curriculum-based activities.
