Forest School’s Big Band braved the weather to take part in this year’s Lord Mayor’s Show.
The procession, which dates back to the 16th century, saw more than 7,000 people take part with hundreds of thousands lining the streets of the City of London on Friday.
The Big Band, from the school in College Place, Snaresbrook, performed on a float, which took inspiration from Forest’s location on the edge of Epping Forest.
The show celebrates the first public engagement by the new Lord Mayor and former Forest director of music, Dr Andrew Parmley. Dr Parmley set up the Big Band so the performance was a fitting tribute to him.
