The RAF’s educational team visited Woodbridge High School to give Year 7 pupils an interactive science lesson.
Engineers taught children at the school, in St Barnabas Road, Woodford Green, how important physics was to the RAF.
They gave demonstrations which included drones, balloons, airships and even a jet engine.
The lesson was packed with live interactive experiments which brought to life some complicated scientific subjects.
Sara Aftab, inclusion co-ordianator, said: “The show was extremely engaging and relevant to the curriculum they are learning in Science.
“Pupils left the room talking excitedly about everything they had just learnt and it got a lot of them thinking about the opportunities through science that are going to be available to them when they leave school.
“Our aim was to provide pupils with an experience that enriches them and raises aspirations to encourage more young people towards careers in STEM – this definitely did that.”
