A man arrested by the Flying Squad yesterday following two robberies on bookmakers in east London has been charged.
David Manton, 34, of no fixed address, will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court, Bow Road, London, later today.
He is charged with one count of robbery in Snakes Lane East, Woodford Green on Saturday January 23 and one count of attempted robbery in Woodgrange Road, Forest Gate on Tuesday, February 4.
