The Leopards basketball team held a special coaching session with Redbridge pupils on Monday, giving them a chance to try out a new sport.
Year 11 students from Beal High School, Woodford Bridge Road, had an opportunity to learn from the best alongside professional players from the London-based team.
Lorna Eales, temporary head of girls PE, said: “All the pupils thought the lesson was fabulous and I really hope they want to carry on playing basketball.
“The coaching acted as a showcase ahead of our new after school club which pupils are invited to attend.”
Leopards Basketball Club have previously won the National Cup, entertaining a crowd of several thousand at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, and they are currently playing in the England Basketball League Division One.
