Year 6 pupils donned mortar boards to accept their graduation scrolls on their last day at an Ilford primary school, on Wednesday.
Highlands Primary School, Highlands Gardens, held a special event for their ‘graduating’ students and their families, to “recognise everything they have achieved this year.”
Organised by the youngsters themselves, a show was performed where poems were read out, dramas acted out based on their memories at the school and songs were sung for the audience.
Head of Year 6, Jenny Wilkes, said: “The day went really well and it was the first graduation we have organised. This really was a fantastic year group and it is really sad to see them go, but I know they will be all very successful.
“We also wanted the day to recognise everything they had achieved this year, including the best SATs results ever.”
