Young children dressed up as their favourite heroes and villains from some of the world’s favourite books to mark an annual event at their school.

Pupils from reception to Year 6 at Forest School, College Place, Snaresbrook, dressed up as a Star Wars Storm Troopers, Harry Potter, Snow White and the Gruffalo and many more.

The annual Book Character Day takes place each year on the last day of the preparatory school’s book week.

Earlier that week, children’s author Gareth P.Jones who wrote the Dragon Detective Agency series of books spent the day with pupils and read extracts of his work to them.
