Residents and members of staff at a care home organised a family-friendly party to celebrate their open day with music and dance.
The Meadow Court care home, Barley Lane, Ilford, took part in the national Care Home Open Day on Friday to promote the creation of lasting relationships between care homes and their communities.
The party was themed around the Queen’s 90th birthday and games were organised by members of staff to get everyone involved in the party spirit.
Home manager Vikash Ramphul said the day was about “enriching the lives of residents” thanks to links with the community built across generations.
“Opening our doors is a great opportunity to show what life is really like in a modern care home. We hope to change any preconceptions people might have while showing everything Meadow Court has to offer.“
