Four sixth formers, who set up their own mug personalising company, were invited to Downing Street to encourage businesses to get behind the Young Enterprise program.
Zainab Ali, Khadeeja Yasmin, Samia Ali and Umber Janjua from Valentines High School, Cranbrook Road, Gants Hill, set up Dynamic Designs a year ago and they have already generated a profit of just under a thousand pounds.
The event, hosted by William Salomon, aimed to highlight the importance of helping young people to become future business leaders and successful entrepreneurs through Young Enterprise.
The team gave a short presentation discussing their own business and how much Young Enterprise had helped them.
Umber said: “It was a fantastic opportunity to support the cause as it allowed us to present our views to a crowd of professionals. As all the guests were from an assortment of businesses we were able to make some amazing professional links, which will really benefit us in the future.
“This experience will stay with us for the rest of our lives.”
