“Style and panache” is how a school orchestra’s performance has been described following a concert at the iconic Southbank Centre.
About 40 pupils from Forest School, College Place, Snaresbrook, took part in the sell-out concert which was part of the Music for Youth festival. The students played two pieces and were praised by organisers for their “rhythmically exciting” performance as well as their “style and panache”.
The performance was part of the world’s largest youth music festival which took place on Wednesday of last week.
Stephen Wiles, a music teacher at the school, said: “In a world-renowned performance venue, members of the concert orchestra produced one of their best-ever performances. Focus and musicality were all exemplary from start to finish.”
