Children have taken part in a craft surprise event at Gants Hill Library.
The library’s Summer Reading Challenge theme is spooky house, so the children made spider webs out of paper plates and cotton wool, and spiders with smiley faces.
Among those at the library in Cranbrook Road on Tuesday were Daniel Lobb, four, and his sister Amy, six.
Their colourful creation was sprinkled with stars and a spider with blue and red legs.
