Hainault might be a long way from the seaside but that did not stop children enjoying a donkey ride.
Youngsters flocked to Foxburrows Farm at Hainault Forest Country Park in Romford Road yesterday (Wednesday) to get up close and personal with a group of donkeys and to have a ride around the park.
The farm, which is one of the forest’s main attractions, is also home to three resident meerkats who proved hugely popular with visitors.
Housed in an authentic enclosure, the animals that originate from South Africa, are always a favourite alongside the chicks and rabbits.
The visiting donkeys from Riffhams in Chelmsford are regulars to the farm and 11-year-old Mary Brant was one of the first to have a ride.
