Students from Caterham Sixth form were celebrating after some great A-level results.

Students at Caterham Sixth Form were celebrating this morning after securing their places at university.

Students at Caterham Sixth Form in Clayhall were jumping for joy after some outstanding results meant they secured their places at university.

Retiring headteacher Dr Alan Atkins said: “We are all really pleased with the results this year - they have gone up again for us. There are lots of happy children this morning who got what they want.”

Mushi Rahman, 18, was delighted with his results. He said: “I am quite shocked and a bit overwhelmed.” He received ABB and is now hoping to get into a university to study Economics.

Jia Hellahi, 18, got the grades she needs to study Architecture at University College London. She said she had “mixed feelings” about her results but was happy to be going to university.

James Edwards, 18, got three A*’s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics. Commenting on the secret to his success, he said: “I just relax and remember there are other things in life.” He is hoping to study Maths at either Cambridge or St Andrews University.
