Schoolchildren stepped back in time to the Edwardian era complete with appropriate clothing, chalkboards and lemonade.
Highlands Primary School, Highlands Gardens, Ilford, which was built during the Edwardian period, was host to a day of traditional arithmetic and cookery.
Children in Year 2 had been learning about the Edwardian period and the changes that have happened since the school was built. Danielle Vorley, Year 2 teacher, said: “The children have been so excited and enthused to learn, compare, understand and discover information about their school and how children’s school lives differed from their own.”
