Staff and pupils at Gordon Infants School had a “great time” dressing up to celebrate World Book Day today.
The day started with a full school assembly and each class had time in the hall over the course of the day. Parents were also invited to come in and read to the children.
Deputy headteacher Helen French said: “All the staff and pupils at Gordon Infant School dressed up as book or nursery rhyme characters to celebrate our love of reading. A great time was had by all!”
Literacy coordinator Catherine Partridge said: “World Book Day promotes the love of reading for both learning and enjoyment.”
