An environmental property company’s work with Redbridge Council has seen the pair scoop prestigious national awards.

The work Eco Target and Redbridge Council have embarked upon won the Energy Efficient and Healthier Homes 2017 Award for the best small project category and also scooped the Regional Local Authority Body of the Year.

Among their work has been efforts to combat fuel poverty across the borough by providing vulnerable residents with free inspections, with grant funding used to pay for the insulation of lofts and roofs.

An Eco Target spokeswoman said:“It gives us immense pride giving something back to the borough community that we live and work in, whilst knowing that we have helped so many fellow neighbours by providing them with more comfortable living in their homes.

“The rewards have been wonderful to watch and they are getting greater each day as we cover more of the borough.”
